AdSec is an analysis program for sections under load. AdSec was originally developed for analysis of reinforced concrete sections but can now look at concrete, steel or fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) sections, or sections composed of any combinations of these materials.

Analysis options are available for serviceability and ultimate limit states in accordance with Australian, British, European, Hong Kong, Indian and US codes. Both uniaxial and biaxial conditions can be investigated.

Simplified parametric input of geometry and reinforcement layout is available for regular shaped column and beam sections. Tools allow these simple sections to be assembled into more complex (compound) sections.

For the Ultimate Limit State, the options available include:

• Ultimate moment capacity of the section.
• Stresses and strains from the ultimate applied load and stresses at the ultimate limit state.
• Ultimate resistance N/M interaction chart.
• Ultimate resistance Myy/Mzz moment interaction chart.

For the Serviceability Limit State, the program calculates:

• Cracking moment.
• Stresses, stiffness and crack widths for each analysis case.
• Moment-stiffness and moment-curvature charts.
